Secure key cabinet - mechanical

Inside the cabinet there is a mechanical key control system with mechanical slots for pairs of key pegs. The system ensures that a peg is blocked until an authorised user inserts the corresponding paired peg into the slot.

Access key pegs come in one colour while their corresponding pairs, so-called retention pegs, come in different colours, and are numbered (thus making it is possible to designate departments or premises by colour and persons by number).

 The only way to release a key is to insert the corresponding retention peg into the slot; in that way you will always know who has the key.
